Christmas 2011

Christmas is finally here.  December always seems to be so crazy between parties & shopping.  Every year we spend Christmas Eve with the Carlson's over at TJ's sister Amie's home.  She always does a huge dinner.  This year the kids opened their presents to each other on Christmas Eve as well.  This year Christmas fell on a Sunday, so we had to get everyone up and dressed for church at 9am.  We didn't let the kids open their presents until they got home from church which was really hard.  But we knew that going to church on Christmas was what was important, since that is what Christmas is all about.  After we open our presents at home we head off to the Evans for a couple hours and the off to the Carlson's to finish up our Christmas Day.  Here all the pics from Christmas.

Paislee sitting in her bouncer watching.  She was so tired after
Church we actually put her down for a nap while we enjoyed
the other girls opening their presents.

Taylor SO excited about her new Hello Kitty Sewing Machine
(which didn't work).  This is all she wanted this year.

Addie and her baby doll set.  She saw this at Costco and
couldn't stop asking Santa for it.

The Trash Keeper!!  Grandpa Gary is so funny about making
sure every piece of garbage is put into a trash sack as soon
as the present is opened.

This was Addie's cheese.  That girl is so full of it.

We made sure Addie got a doodle bear as well, or else we
might of had a big problem at home.

Taylor wanted this doll from Grandma & Grandpa Carlson.  She
got an extra outfit for it as well.  She call's these her American
Girl dolls since we are too cheap to get the real thing.

Temple Square

Temple Square is one of my favorite traditions.  We decided that even though Paislee was little we would bundle up and venture out.  The lights are always amazing and the kids enjoy it no matter how cold it is. We got our new camera right before our outing which is why the pictures look so much crisper and not blurry anymore.  Love It!

Cute Addie in front of the lights.
She tried to count the lights, but that didn't last long.
Miss Taylor on the other hand did not want
to take a picture, so this is what we got when
we told her she had to.  Lovely!

Holiday Dance Recital

This year of Dance has been fun for both girls.  We started Addie in it, and she has been loving every minute.  Taylor has been getting better, and loving being in dance with her cousin/best friend Hadley.  We weren't sure how Addie would do for her first recital, but she got up there and wiggled her booty just like she was supposed to.  Both girls did great at the recital.  Can't wait for the spring one to come.

October 2011

Happy October!  I LOVE Fall.  There are so many great activities to do in the fall.  Here is some of the pictures from our FUN October 2011.

Addie walking in her preschool Halloween parade.

She LOVES her teacher Miss Katie, and even
loved her more when she saw that they were both
a witch for Halloween.
What a cute little Witch

Taylor painting away as well.  We have found this is better for
everyone to paint instead of carve while the girls are still young.
Addie painting her Pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

Carlson family Halloween.  Look at all those cute cousins.
Taylor "The Fairy"in her Halloween parade at school.
She was so excited for the school day.

Our cute girls all ready for some trick or treating.

Paislee @ 2 Months

PAISLEE @ 2 months

I took Paislee for her 2 month check this past week. I decided to try a new Doctor closer to us. With kids in school now it is just too hard to drive a 1/2 hour (one way) to get to the doc. I actually LOVED the new doc. He seemed very knowledgeable, and gave me a lot of tips and info. Paislee has started to smile so big these days and stopped crying most of the time during the day. She still has her colic nights, but hopefully that will get better in the next couple weeks. It has already started to get better, but we want it to be completely over. I can't complain about her colic though. She has been sleeping all the way through the night since 7 weeks old so I feel very blessed for that. The Doc said she looked great. She is tall & skinny. Here are her measurements @ 2 months.

Height: 23.75 inches (97th percentile)

Weight: 10 lbs (25th percentile)

Head: 37.6cm (10 percentile)

Things Paislee loves @ 2 months

- Cuddled

- Snuggled

- Eating every three hours on the DOT!!

- warm blankets (she is like her mom, can never be too warm)

- Baths every night (finally got over thinking they were awful)

Even though she still cry's a lot at night I still can't get enough of this peanut. I could squish her & kiss her all day long. Such a cutie!!

Cute Sisters!!

I had to put this picture in. On Sunday afternoon both Addie and Taylor curled up on our little couch (half the couch since all of my decorative pillows on on the rest of it) and feel asleep together. Taylor was half on Addie and half off the couch. This doesn't happen very often if at ALL. Taylor falling asleep is one thing, but falling asleep on top of each other is just not normal. I love these moments though. It makes me take a deep breath through all of our craziness and realize how grateful I am for such amazing kids, and how much I really LOVE them. Not that I don't know that already, but when they are being wild, crazy, sassy, whiny, talking back and naughty it is just hard to realize the good in those moment. Sad that it takes a sleeping moment for me to realize the GREAT.

Kindergarten Jog-A-Thon

Taylor got to run in her first school Jog-A-Thon this week. She was so nervous that she wouldn't be able to run very far. She actually ran the entire time. I honestly didn't know if she had it in her. Addie and I tried to join her a couple of times, and Tay would just take off and leave us in the dust. It still boggles my mind that we have a kindergartner. She LOVES school and hates that she has two days off every week (Saturday & Sunday). She is growing up so fast it makes me sad. Good Job on the run Tay. You did awesome.

Taylor giving a cute cheese while running her little heart out.

She was so tired at the end. She couldn't wait to get her water and OtterPop!!

First Tooth

It is official she really is growing up. Taylor has had two teeth in the bottom front come in behind her baby teeth. We made an appointment to see the dentist since the baby teeth didn't seem to want to come loose. Well last night while we were doing homework I looked at Taylor and noticed her tooth looked a little weird. Sure enough it was loose and barley hanging on. Within a couple minutes we had it out. It would have been sooner than that, but Tay was getting a little nervous about not having a tooth. Just our luck Kindergarten pics are next week. Bad timing for that, but it is good that they are coming out so the permanent teeth can move into place.

Taylor couldn't wait to go to bed to see how much the tooth fairy was going to bring her. However, she couldn't understand why a tooth fairy would want to keep a bunch of teeth. Funny Kid!!

Paislee's Blessing

Our sweet little Paislee. She looked like a doll in her blessing dress. Of course her very talented Grandma Holly made the dress & booties for us like she has done for all of our girls . She does amazing work. It was a great day with family & friends. Thank you to everyone who came to share this special day with us.
